LWAC M2A1 NATO Ammunition Box – The logistical revolution for transport

The new, innovative Light Weight Ammunition Cases (LWAC®) from PPD set completely new standards for the safe and efficient storage and transport of military equipment. Designed as a complete, modern replacement for conventional steel boxes, this case meets all military requirements. It is ideal for ammunition (small to large weapons), pyrotechnics, explosives, countermeasures, or flares. The development was based on newly patented design ideas and specially developed raw resins, always in close cooperation with end-users and the ammunition industry.

The greatest logistical advantage lies in the massive weight savings: At approximately 760g empty weight, the LWAC M2A1 is over 68% lighter than comparable steel boxes. When transporting 1,000,000 rounds of .50 caliber ammunition, an enormous 16.5 tons of packaging weight can be saved! At the same time, the case impresses with its tactical superiority: It is completely water and airtight, causes significantly less noise during handling, completely eliminates the risk of sparks, and offers improved thermal insulation. In addition, it is already prepared for the integration of RFID tags for modern tracking and is 100% recyclable.
